Expedia, Inc. is an internet-based travel agency headquartered in Bellevue, Washington, USA. It books airline tickets, hotel reservations, car rentals, cruises, vacation packages, and various attractions and services via the World Wide Web and telephone travel agents.

As is common with large internet travel agencies, some customers have been unsatisfied with various aspects of Expedia.com products and services. Customer complaints include lost reservations, erroneous hotel accommodations, poor customer service, and failure to post negative reviews online at Expedia.com. However, www expedia.com was ranked highly in 2003 by Consumer Reports in a report that did not explicitly mention overall Expedia customer satisfaction.

Expedia Inc., the world's largest online travel company, has announced it has signed a new strategic partnership with Millennium & Copthorne Hotels. Under terms of the agreement, Millennium & Copthorne will deploy Expedia’s Direct Connect technology, giving Expedia customers access to the complete range of Millennium & Copthorne’s inventory and rates while providing the hotel company with faster, more accurate transactions.

NEW YORK Observers critical of newspaper Web sites for failing to capitalize on e-commerce can now cite to The New York Times for being on the ball.

NYTimes.com is partnering with the booking site Expedia in its travel section so readers can immediately plan to jet off to the destinations covered in the editorial. The site already allows readers to purchase movie and theater tickets.
